Lasting Impressions

As I mentioned in my first post, the BU is very colorful of so many different cultures. Students are coming to study from all over the world. There is a positive clash of global mindsets during the classes. The multicultural environment in courses enables inspiring discussions, where you can feel free to share your own ideas and do not hesitate to say something wrong.

Studying abroad adds another level to your college experience. It takes you out of your element and places you in a place where you are less comfortable, enabling you to learn in a new way. Experiencing other cultures around the world broadens your knowledge base and teaches you to think and live differently.

It is so important, today, to have a solid understanding of different cultures, which is a key factor for a global mindset in today’s working environment. The BU is definitely highly recommended where you can establish a global mindset on a professional way.
I made countless friends from all over the world including China, Thailand, Brazil, as well as Russia.

The BU is an amazing platform for networking: The MET International offers many events such as Ice-Skating, carving pumpkins, international cooking or a meet & greet with famous companies. Buddy Program Students for instance, got the chance to meet Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry’s.
On behalf of my colleagues and the ISM, I would like to thank Kristen and Crystal very much for their constant support, kindness, and help!

Finally, as my time is up, I know that my experiences in Boston will be a professional advantage on my resume and as an experience overall. Not everybody has the chance to study in one of the top 50 best universities in the world. But before I will enter the working world, I precede my degree path online and in May, I will come back to Boston for my graduation.

See you soon Boston.
With love from Germany,
Sibel

Hi! I am Sibel, a 28 years old passionate artist born in Germany with Turkish roots. I did my undergraduate in Fashion Design and German Linguistics. I worked for Hugo Boss and was fortunate to live in multiple countries around the world. This year, I am studying International Business at the ISM Dortmund in Germany. I then made the jump to Boston in order to prepare my Degree Path in Financial Management.

I love helping people, understanding their karma and giving them the keys to make better life decisions.

With this blog, my goal is to build a community that promotes a holistic view of the world through multicultural awareness and motivational quotes. I want to be a key communicator not only for international students, but also for locals by sharing my experiences, ideas and feelings. Let me take you on the multicultural and colorful journey of my experiences in Boston!

    Enjoy the read!
